Today in class, the professor took the role of a client with a need for some software. The software being requested to our team is a tool to keep track of what attendees of a code camp attend which events, and how long they stay in order to present this data to Microsoft after the event is completed. Microsoft provides important funding for the code camp and this data is of importance.

The teams began a question and answer format with the client to understand needs and limitations of the project:

-costs

-expectations of the software and data output

-limitations of the environment it will be employed such as no smart id cards, events likely not to be recorded

-format of output data

This blog will serve as a continuous record of a student working through a college course in Software Engineering. My name is Dan, and the professor of this class is Ron “Doc” Krawitz. This course works through utilizing online course work as well as in an in class group project that lasts for the entire semester.
